The Gravelscape – Ultra takes riders deep into the wild heart of Jaén, Andalusia, on a demanding self-supported gravel bikepacking adventure. Combining remote mountain tracks, abandoned mining roads, olive groves, and dramatic natural landscapes, the route showcases one of Spain’s most diverse and least-explored cycling destinations.
Starting and finishing in Linares, Spain, the route covers 595 kilometres with approximately 11,000 metres of elevation gain. Riders follow a fixed GPX through the historic Linares–La Carolina Mining District, the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas Natural Park, ancient forests, rugged mountain passes, and remote gravel roads, creating a demanding route that blends adventure with spectacular scenery.
The Gravelscape – Ultra follows a strict self-supported philosophy. Riders are responsible for their own navigation, food, accommodation, and mechanical repairs, with no outside assistance permitted. Open to both solo riders and pairs, the event rewards careful planning, efficient pacing, and the resilience to tackle long days across constantly changing terrain.
Blending challenging gravel, rich industrial heritage, and the dramatic landscapes of Andalusia, The Gravelscape – Ultra is one of Spain’s standout bikepacking events. It is an unforgettable challenge for riders seeking a true off-road adventure in southern Europe.
