GRAVAL Road is a self-supported ultra-distance road cycling adventure that explores the mountains and quiet secondary roads of Valencia, Teruel, and Castellón in eastern Spain. Organised by GRAVAL, the event brings the brand’s spirit of self-sufficiency and long-distance adventure to a challenging road format focused on climbing and endurance.
The route covers 600 kilometres with approximately 11,000 metres of elevation gain, starting and finishing in Valencia, Spain. Riders follow a fixed GPX route across more than 15 mountain passes, tackling long climbs, steep gradients, and remote roads through some of the most scenic inland landscapes of the Valencian Community.
GRAVAL Road follows a strict self-supported philosophy. Riders are responsible for their own navigation, food, accommodation, and mechanical repairs, with no outside assistance permitted. The event has a 65-hour time limit, requiring participants to carefully manage their pacing, sleep, and resupply strategy throughout the non-stop challenge.
With its combination of demanding mountain passes, quiet roads, and Mediterranean scenery, GRAVAL Road offers a serious but achievable road ultra experience. It is an ideal event for cyclists looking to test themselves in a compact, high-climbing adventure without leaving the Iberian Peninsula.
