BER–CPH Road is a self-supported ultra-distance road race that connects Berlin and Copenhagen, offering a fast and scenic journey through Germany and Denmark. As part of the Nordic Chase series, the event blends smooth tarmac, quiet countryside roads, and the rugged beauty of the Baltic coastline into a classic point-to-point endurance challenge.
The route covers approximately 710 kilometres with around 2,670 metres of elevation gain, starting in Berlin, Germany, and finishing in Copenhagen, Denmark. Riders follow a fixed GPX route through forests, rolling farmland, and coastal roads before crossing the Baltic Sea by ferry from Puttgarden to Rødby. After arriving in Denmark, the course continues across the open roads of Zealand (Sjælland) before reaching the finish in the heart of Copenhagen.
BER–CPH Road follows a strict self-supported philosophy. Riders are responsible for their own navigation, accommodation, food, ferry logistics, and mechanical repairs, with no outside assistance permitted. A 100-hour time limit rewards efficient pacing and smart decision-making while remaining accessible to both experienced ultra racers and riders tackling their first multi-day road event.
With its flowing roads, gentle terrain, and spectacular Nordic scenery, BER–CPH Road is one of the fastest events in the Nordic Chase calendar. Combining international point-to-point racing with the freedom of self-supported ultra cycling, it offers an unforgettable ride from the vibrant streets of Berlin to the waterfront of Copenhagen.
