Race Across Québec is a semi-autonomous ultra-distance cycling event that takes riders through the vast forests, lakes, villages, and rolling roads of Quebec, Canada. As part of the Race Across Series, it combines long-distance endurance with a supportive basecamp format, making ultra-cycling accessible to both experienced riders and ambitious newcomers.
The flagship 2,500 km route starts at the Bromont National Cycling Center in Bromont, Quebec, and finishes in Terrebonne, Quebec. Riders tackle approximately 25,000–30,000 metres of elevation gain, following a predominantly road route through some of the province’s most scenic and remote landscapes. The event also offers shorter 1,000 km, 500 km, 300 km, and 200 km options.
Race Across Québec follows a semi-autonomous philosophy. Riders manage their own pacing, navigation, food, and supplies on the road, while designated basecamps are the only places where outside assistance is permitted. This format preserves the spirit of self-reliance while providing a safer and more approachable entry into ultra-distance cycling.
With its endless roads, breathtaking scenery, and welcoming community atmosphere, Race Across Québec offers a uniquely Canadian ultra-cycling experience — one that blends endurance, adventure, and cultural immersion across one of North America’s most beautiful regions.

At 2500 km with 25000 m of elevation gain, Race Across Québec is roughly the distance of 59 marathons back to back, with climbing that adds up to more than 2.8 times the height of Mount Everest.
For Race Across Québec, we'd recommend a Endurance Road Bike — plan on 30-35mm Tubeless tires and a wide-range drivetrain, something like a 46/30T-50/34T (2x) chainring paired with a 10-36T cassette, to handle the terrain comfortably.
We rate Race Across Québec as Extreme overall. Riders should be ready for mostly smooth, fast-rolling surfaces, relentlessly mountainous, climbing almost the entire way elevation gain, and mild and generally comfortable conditions.
Race Across Québec takes place on August 13, 2026. That puts it in summer, with long daylight hours, though heat can become a real factor.
Race Across Québec's route is road. Plan your tire choice around 30-35mm Tubeless for the best combination of speed and comfort.
