Solstice Series: Equinox Omniloop

Equinox Omniloop is a self-supported road ultracycling event that celebrates the arrival of spring with a scenic loop through the rolling countryside of southern England. Organised by the Solstice Series, the event is designed as an accessible yet rewarding ultra, combining quiet lanes, historic villages, and open landscapes into a memorable early-season challenge.

The route covers 250 kilometres with approximately 2,000 metres of elevation gain, starting and finishing in Winchester, England. Riders follow a fixed GPX along quiet country roads, tackling a mix of rolling hills and fast open sections that reward steady pacing rather than extreme climbing. The 2027 edition takes place on 20 March, marking the spring equinox.

Equinox Omniloop follows a strict self-supported philosophy. Riders are responsible for their own navigation, food, mechanical repairs, and resupply throughout the ride, with no outside assistance permitted.
