Bohemia Divide follows a spectacular south-to-north crossing of the Czech Republic, linking the country’s southern border with its northernmost landscapes on a demanding self-supported bikepacking adventure. Designed for mountain bikes and capable gravel bikes, the route combines forest tracks, gravel roads, quiet backroads, and rugged trails through some of Czechia’s most scenic regions.
The 2026 edition covers approximately 800 kilometres with around 16,000 metres of elevation gain, starting near Dolní Dvořiště on the Austrian border and finishing in Varnsdorf in the north. Riders follow a fixed GPX through the Bohemian Forest, Brdy Highlands, Křivoklátsko, the Bohemian Paradise, and the Lusatian Mountains, tackling a varied mix of gravel roads, forestry tracks, rocky climbs, and flowing singletrack.
Bohemia Divide follows a strict self-supported philosophy. Riders are responsible for their own navigation, food, accommodation, and mechanical repairs, with no outside assistance permitted. The event rewards careful pacing, efficient resupply, and the versatility to handle constantly changing terrain over multiple days.
Combining remote wilderness, historic landscapes, and a challenging mixed-terrain route, Bohemia Divide has become one of Central Europe’s standout bikepacking events. It is an ideal challenge for riders looking to discover Czechia beyond the paved roads while embracing the spirit of unsupported adventure.
