Like in the lesser known race, le Tour de France, le Tour de Farce is 4 challenges within a single event. Each day, riders will be timed between hostels and the lowest accumulated time holds the Yellow Jersey. But a series of penalties and bonuses make sure the timing isn’t as simple as speed.
There will be decorated eggs.
There will be a daily Monarch of the Mountain stage, and daily award for Young (at heart) Rider. The Green ‘sprint stage’ jersey will take place on our final day which will entail a mystery points-based off-road orienteering challenge.
We know you’ll want to remain hyper focused on the task at hand, so as well as having a bed each night, we will also provide breakfast each morning and a simple, hearty, plentiful vegan dinner each evening. We won’t tuck you in but we’ve got almost everything else covered.
Based on this event's terrain, difficulty and riding style.
At 550 km, Le Tour de Farce is roughly the distance of 13 marathons back to back.
A Hardtail MTB is the right tool for Le Tour de Farce. Set it up with 2.2-2.4" Tubeless rubber and gear it low — a 30-32T (1x) chainring and 10-52T cassette will keep you spinning on the steeper sections.
We rate Le Tour de Farce as Intermediate overall. Riders should be ready for seriously technical, unforgiving terrain throughout, and cool conditions.
Mark your calendar for October 11, 2026 — Le Tour de Farce's autumn timing means as conditions start cooling but daylight hours are shrinking.
Surface-wise, expect off-road throughout Le Tour de Farce — 2.2-2.4" Tubeless tires are a safe bet.
