Borderline700 (Roubaix edition)

Borderline700 – Roubaix Edition celebrates the legendary roads of the Spring Classics with a self-supported ultra-distance journey from the Netherlands to the iconic Roubaix Velodrome and back. Designed as an accessible introduction to ultracycling, the route combines fast Dutch roads, punchy Flemish climbs, and the famous cobbled sectors of northern France into an unforgettable weekend challenge.

The 700 km course starts and finishes in Gouda, Netherlands, featuring approximately 3,000 metres of elevation gain and a 60-hour time limit. Riders follow a fixed GPX through Zeeland, the Flemish Ardennes, and the Paris–Roubaix cobbles before completing a lap of the historic Roubaix Velodrome. The return journey crosses Heuvelland and the Dutch coastline before finishing back in Gouda.

Borderline700 follows a strict self-supported philosophy. Riders are responsible for their own navigation, food, accommodation, and mechanical repairs, with no outside assistance permitted. Three staffed checkpoints validate the route while preserving the spirit of unsupported adventure.

Blending cycling history with a manageable ultra-distance format, Borderline700 is an ideal stepping stone into bikepacking races. It offers riders the opportunity to experience legendary roads, iconic landmarks, and the challenge of self-supported riding in one rewarding adventure.
