Based on this event's terrain, difficulty and riding style.
At 137km / 238 km with 1900m/3500 m of elevation gain, Edition Zero Gravel is roughly the distance of 6 marathons back to back, with climbing that adds up to close to a third of the height of Mount Everest.
Edition Zero Gravel's terrain calls for a Gravel Bike, ideally running 45-50mm Tubeless tires. On the drivetrain side, a 38-40T (1x) chainring matched to a 10-51T cassette gives enough range for the climbing involved.
The terrain itself is rough, technical terrain for a good stretch of the route, and conditions tend to run mild and generally comfortable.
Mark your calendar for November 28, 2026 — Edition Zero Gravel's spring timing means when weather can still be unpredictable, so a flexible kit is worth packing.
Edition Zero Gravel's route is gravel. Plan your tire choice around 45-50mm Tubeless for the best combination of speed and comfort.
