What to Expect on The Reset Brevet

The Reset Brevet is a boldly wild, unsupported bikepacking brevet set in the dramatic landscapes of Central Otago, New Zealand. Riders depart from the shores of Wanaka and embark on a route that pushes through rugged terrain and high-country beauty. Expect a mix of gravel backroads, rocky double-tracks, minimal pavement, occasional single-track, and challenging hike-a-bike climbs — all in a spirit of exploration and self-reliance.

Participants can choose between two demanding options: the Long Haul (~550 km, >9,000 m of ascent) or the Weekender (~370 km, >5,500 m of ascent). The Reset is about shedding the noise of daily life — packing only what you need, navigating by your own determination, and confronting both the physical and mental edges of long-distance riding.
