LPL Spring is the shorter self-supported road ultracycling event within the Liège–Paris–Liège Challenge series. Starting and finishing in Liège, Belgium, it delivers the same spirit of adventure and classic European road cycling as the flagship event, but in a more accessible long-weekend format.
The route covers 440 kilometres with approximately 5,900 metres of elevation gain. Riders follow a fixed GPX through the rolling roads of the Belgian Ardennes, Gaume Natural Park, Luxembourg, and the Eifel, combining quiet country lanes, punchy climbs, and scenic forests before returning to Liège. The course is 99% paved, making it ideal for road bikes.
LPL Spring follows a strict self-supported philosophy. Riders are responsible for their own navigation, food, accommodation, and mechanical repairs, with no outside assistance permitted. Available in both solo and duo categories, the event rewards smart pacing, efficient resupply, and the ability to ride continuously over one or two days.
Blending historic cycling regions with a challenging yet achievable distance, LPL Spring is an ideal introduction to ultra-distance road cycling. It offers riders the chance to experience the atmosphere of the Liège–Paris–Liège Challenge without committing to the full 1,250 km route.
