Starting in Irun, Spain, and finishing in Sidi Ifni, Morocco, the road route covers 4,212 kilometres with approximately 53,325 metres of elevation gain. The first half follows the Iberica-Traversa Road to Tarifa, crossing the Bardenas Reales, Granada, Ronda, and the spectacular ascent of Pico Veleta. After crossing to Tangier, riders continue through the Rif Mountains, over the Atlas Mountains, and towards the edge of the Sahara Desert, creating one of the world’s most diverse road bikepacking routes.
The event follows a strict self-supported philosophy. Riders are responsible for their own navigation, food, accommodation, border crossings, and mechanical repairs, with no outside assistance permitted. Available in solo and pair categories, there is no time limit, allowing participants to complete the crossing at their own pace while embracing the spirit of unsupported adventure.
