Say Hi to Hermann

Say Hi To Hermann is a self-supported road bikepacking race that takes riders from the Netherlands into Germany and back again on a fast-paced long-weekend adventure. Organised by Dutch Bikepacking Races, the event combines smooth roads, changing landscapes, and a tight time limit into an accessible yet demanding ultra-distance challenge.

The 2026 edition covers 750 kilometres, starting and finishing in Amersfoort, Netherlands, with a 75-hour time limit. Riders follow a fixed route across the Veluwe, through the Münsterland, and along the scenic Hermannsweg before reaching the Hermann monument and returning via the Lippe River and the Achterhoek. The course is predominantly paved, making it ideal for road bikes and riders seeking a fast ultra experience.

Say Hi To Hermann follows a strict self-supported philosophy. Riders are responsible for their own navigation, food, accommodation, and mechanical repairs, with no outside assistance permitted. Both solo and pair categories are available, while the continuous clock demands careful pacing, sleep management, and efficient resupply planning.
